I am a busy mother of three girls, Evizen is named after them, and in 2019 I taught myself to dye yarn and weave so I could carry my youngest daughter in a handwoven wrap that I had made myself. I also knit and can crochet a little, but when I discovered weaving I definitely had found my craft and it lead me to love hand dyeing yarn. Since using hand dyed yarn I have rediscovered my love for knitting, hand dyed yarn is such a joy to work with and I love the portability of knitting projects.
My yarns are handdyed in small batches at my home in lovely Cornwall using professional dyes. My colour inspiration is taken from many places, but I am fortunate to live somewhere that has the sea and a beautiful natural landscape that often inspires me.
I love yarn and colour, and how yarn can be used to make beautiful, unique woven cloth and knitted or crocheted items. Evizen Design gives me the opportunity to explore the things I enjoy and create lovely yarn that others can have the pleasure of using.
